50 STORIES 50 YEARS: REDUXION THEATRE COMPANY
During its time in Oklahoma City, Reduxion Theatre Company has crafted a unique brand of live performance that has provided central Oklahoma a boost to tourism and an artistic draw with an eye toward international trends in theatre.
Reduxion Theatre has attributed its ability to remain in central Oklahoma in substantial part to the support of the Oklahoma Arts Council.
The Theatre wrote, “The Oklahoma Arts Council has provided both encouragement and vital funding to Reduxion Theatre Company (RTC). Without their support, RTC would not be in Oklahoma, but would have found its home elsewhere.”
The Oklahoma Arts Council is essential to the ongoing vitality of arts and culture in Oklahoma.
A decrease or loss of funding from the Oklahoma Arts Council would impede Reduxion Theatre’s growth and hamper their ability to contribute positively to the cultural, educational, and economic growth of central Oklahoma.
For years, Reduxion Theatre has cultivated a reputation as an organization that can make every dollar stretch. They exemplify the economic benefit of arts investments; for every $1 invested, there is a $9 return.
The Oklahoma Arts Council’s support makes such economic impact possible.
This story celebrates 50 years of the Oklahoma Arts Council and how the state’s investments have positive ripple effects on communities across Oklahoma. See other stories or follow this link for more information.
